    Quando a lâmina e a contra-lâmina já não se cruzarem ou a lâmina estiver bastante danificada, é recomendável proceder à sua substituição. Regule a folga da lâmina e da contra-lâmina, ajustando a força de fixação da porca. A lâmina deve friccionar a contra-lâmina em 2/3 do seu comprimento.
